I remember once in a film I heared a woman who was ill in bed,dying, saying “I won’t regret what might be.”
Though very simple in words, it contains plenty of meanings which is profound and of great philosophy.
Perhaps you will feel confused about the phrase “what might be”.Actually,it’s the soul of this sentence.It can’t be denied that in the course of our life,there is full of choices or alternatives,what should I choose?which way should I follow?Who can I rely on？You name it.But then come the question how to make these choices?Acorrding to your mind,Follow the most people or let things be by its nature?The phrase just means the immunberable options that was up to the dramatis personae to make,similar to “what will happen ,if I don’t…”
On most occasions we believe” Every man is the architect of his own fortune.”However, we should not forget that Every man has his weak side.So the words “to make decisions is most difficult” comes.We are never able to get the crystallnor are we able to predict our future.I think it’s an area where the proverb “Man proposes, God disposes.”may be applied.
So I admire this phisically weak but mentally strong woman in my heart of hearts. Being able to have no regret of all your choices made before,or the “what might be” is a extremely high lever of wisdom and a splendid spirit worthy all of us to learn.
Form the thought of her words,I think I’ve learned a big lesson.Options are inevitable,It is to make every effort to make the decidion advisable that all we can do is.It’s no use escaping.Face up to it.Nerve yourself and make options decidedly.And once a decision has been made,be perseverant and indomitable,believing in the fact that All roads lead to Rome. Do your best and success will be achieved sooner or later. |
