Beyond peradventure, Micheal Jordan is top on the list of the famous athletes widely admired by the public. To me, basketball is but a kind of popular sports. However, I adore him, for his spirit goes far beyond sports, which indicates an active way of living, a presentation of perseverance and a demonstration of confidence.
It is generally accepted that NBA’s glory is created by Jordon. Jordon, who served in the Chicago Bulls, could always turn a basketball game into a myth by his wonderful inspiring shootings. His talent as well as his personal glamour have not only enlightened people’s understanding of basketball but also enlivened the essence of sports.
Another shining point lies in his perseverance and courage, which won the applause of both the audiences and other competitors. His insisting on the fighting for goals after eating a poisonous pizza, his gaining victory while suffering from a serious fever, his struggling to feet though badly hurt on the ground, are all deeply carved in people’s mind, even in the sports history. And that bring me to the philosophy that the essential thing in life lies more in striving than in conquering. Under the guidance of this idea, I embark on knitting my own dreams.
Apart from what mentioned above, I’m also deeply infected by Jordan’s self-confidence. When confronting every setback during the proceeding, Jordan often said to himself, “ They are all going to vanish, and what values most is the next chance. I can do it.” That’s what he once told the public. Such kind of confidence obviously advanced his superiority.
Though Jordan has retired, his spirits have cast his unique glow over the world. And I firmly believe that the spirits will be spread, enhanced and passed down from generation to generation. |
